THE LOOK: Seeing red

Are there certain colors you love, but don’t think they look good on you?  Me too!  Color is a great way to have fun with your wardrobe, and knowing how to wear your favorites can exponentially expand your possibilities.

I paired this red cardigan with a novelty print shirt - both because I like the way it looks and because red is not a flattering color next to my face.  Another shade, maybe - but this one needs the buffer of the printed shirt…..

I do love the overall result, though.  This outfit is a perfect example of taking a color and making it work for you.  Check out my previous post here, for tips on how to wear colors that you love, but that may not flatter.

Camel shoes are a great alternative to brown, and almost as versatile.  They look great with grey or brown or navy (or denim), and are a little unexpected.

Strawberry print shirt by Club Monaco.  Red cardigan by H&M.  Jeans, belt, socks by J Crew.  Camel lace-ups by Kurt Geiger.  Sunglasses by Gucci.
