THE INTERSECTION: His & her lazy outfit

Do you ever wake up and feel like getting dressed requires more energy than you have that day?  I did last week - but my remedy was simple:  Take a couple of super simple pieces, add an interesting layer and a statement accessory and you're done!  Wasn't that easy?

My super simple pieces were a white v-neck t-shirt and medium blue jeans - it doesn't get more simple than that!  I layered the t-shirt with a mini-check shirt jacket - a perfect layer for summer since it adds pizazz but not much weight.  Then I added a red leather belt as my statement accessory.

The good thing is that this outfit works as well for girls as it does for guys.  All she needs to add to her white t-shirt and jeans is a printed jacket or blazer, a statement bracelet, and some sandals - everyone is good to go!

I have an affinity for blue shoes - hence these blue suede lace-ups.  Bought on vacation, I actually have no idea of the brand - but they're an easy go-to shoe with jeans when I don't want to think too hard.....

My outfit:  Shirt jacket by H&M.  White v-neck t-shirt, jeans by Gap.  Belt by Paul Smith.  Navy suede lace-ups bought on vacation - brand unknown.  Watch by Coach.  Rope bracelet by Club Monaco.  Silver bracelet by Tiffany.

Her outfit:  Cotton T-shirt by Uniqlo.  Checked Blazer by Reiss.  Slouchy Boyfriend Jeans by Rag & Bone.  Pewter Wedges by Seychelles.  Peacock Bracelet by Stella & Dot.  Kempton North South Tote by MICHAEL Michael Kors.
