THE OBSESSION: Block party

by Paul Julch in the obsession

The colorblock trend in apparel has been around for a while, but colorblock handbags feel completely fresh and new. Colorblock bags are a great way to add some graphic contrast to any outfit - not as busy as a print, but not as boring as a solid. If you want to stay low-key, choose a neutral bag with a hit of another neutral or color. But if you want to punch it up, go for color on color. And don't worry about what to pair it with - these bags work with prints, solids, textures, and anything in between.

Check out below for my favorite bags of the season paired with dresses perfect for late summer and beyond.  And click here to see even more colorblock bags on my "Block Party" Pinterest page.

COLOR GRAPHIC

Add a graphic neutral clutch to a solid dress for an evening out.  Throw on booties and a leather jacket to shift it from ladylike to edgy.
