Sun dappling through the trees, a slight chill in the air, the start of October - this is fall. Living in northern CA, the shift in the weather may only be 10 degrees cooler than August - so the shift in my wardrobe is as simple as one more layer and an autumnal color palette.
Oranges, reds, burgundies - these aren't exactly abundant in my wardrobe - but this season makes me want to break them out and experiment a little bit more. So I layered this red/orange gingham oxford with a deep burgundy sweater, and camel accessories.
Play up a color story even more by expanding it into your accessories. A watchband with a hit of red and a red bracelet show your commitment to having fun with color.
And when the weather changes, I start wearing socks again. Since I'm popping a reddish/orange in my outfit, I went with socks with red and yellow stripes. I think I'm going to start loving socks again.....
