Yellow is not my best color - but yet lately I can't resist it. It is a "tough color" for me, but I decided to make it work.
I am currently obsessed with yellow. I loved it last fall, pairing it with shades of grey and charcoal. And I think it's perfect for spring/summer, super fresh with white and off-white.
Instead of having such a tough color next to my face, I broke it up with a light blue striped chambray scarf, which flatters me a bit more. The addition of an olive jacket also plays down the yellow, while still allowing me to wear it as a layer in my outfit. See here for more on yellow, and other ideas on how to wear a "tough color" that you love.
These khaki sneakers are my go-to for spring/summer. They are a little dressier than the standard casual summer tennis shoes, and I tend to prefer lighter colored sneakers during shorts season - they are less of a contrast against pale skin, so I don't look so "scary white legs" when I'm wearing shorts!
