I have recently become obsessed with what is traditionally called a smoking slipper. It's roots are in menswear as a true slipper, and it conjures notions of a smoking jacket, a cigar, and a very fancy man sitting in a wingback chair. But these aren't what I'm talking about…..
I'm talking about the cute new silhouette for women's flats. A grown-up alternative to the ballet flat, it has a little bit of masculine edge but can still be altogether girly. These look great with slim cropped pants, the new short suits, or as a ballet flat alternative with almost anything!
