Sometimes you just need a fresh perspective - like having a friend pick out your outfit. My friend, Kim, writes the blog j'adore couture (click here to check it out), and I've admired her style for years. So I let her into my closet, and she came up with a couple of outfits perfect for the SF indian summer.
"Navy and grey is one of my favorite color combos — I did two looks based around these two colors, and both are perfect for work or weekend. This look is perfect for client meetings and shopping appointments, and I love the double print shirt. Monk strap shoes and silver based accessories tie the look together."
Grey cardigan, blue khakis, belt by J. Crew. Printed shirt by Sand. Grey suede monkstraps by Paul Smith. Watch by Coach (old). Sunglasses by Oliver Peoples.
"I can't get enough of stripes all year round. I know that some guys can be a bit pattern shy, but keeping the stripes in the same width and similar colors makes it easier to wear. Pair with white jeans and chukka boots for an easy brunch look or add a rinse denim and black lace-ups for a dinner date or work."
Horizontal stripe shirt, off-white jeans by J. Crew. Striped scarf by Saint James. Blue belt by Paul Smith. Blue boots by John Varvatos. Bracelet by Red Envelope. Sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana. Bag by Smythson.
