Too hot to be stylish? Never! It was pretty warm here this past weekend, but I had plans for a photoshoot with a fellow fashion blogger (which you'll see in a few weeks) and brunch with friends, so I opted for a lightweight plaid shirt and white pants.
Although I am a true devotee of white jeans, I've been finding myself wearing white pants more this summer. They're often a purer white, a little more dressed up, and just as versatile.
Lightweight cotton shirts are an ideal option for warm weather. Although I like linen shirts in theory, in practice I don’t actually have any. It doesn't get painfully hot here often, so I do just fine with thin cotton shirts, and nothing beats a bright plaid one.
Yes, it's hot, and yes, I am carrying a cardigan. Maybe I'm a sweater addict.....
This outfit would have worked just as well with casual slip-ons or nice sneakers, but a leather loafer dresses it up. This shade of camel is perfect for summer, but will work just as well in fall with a pair of dark jeans.
