So I'm not much of a short sleeves guy - but I'll do it once in a while in summer to beat the heat. The day started out cool (hence the jacket), but the weather report said a sunny warm afternoon, so I pulled out the short sleeves for the first time this year.
It may seem contradictory, but I prefer wearing short sleeves with pants (as opposed to shorts). I'm not sure if I feel too bare with short sleeves and shorts or what, but it's more comfortable for me. And alternately, I prefer wearing long sleeves with shorts - just a quirky thing, I guess.....
A camel belt always looks great against dark blue - whether it be dress pants, khakis, or jeans. The contrast calls attention to the leather - and also calls attention to your waist (so suck it in if needed!)
It does take some time to break in oxfords to the point that they can be worn without socks, but it's worth it. I do enjoy going sockless in summertime (see my tips for going sockless here).....
